All our Physiotherapists at Peak Physio Peakhurst are accredited to treat Workplace injuries, Third Party related injuries as well as injuries covered by the Defence Veterans Affairs system. We treat all patients the same, regardless if you are private or attending via any of the above schemes – you will have the same high level of care!

Workers Compensation

Injuries do happen at work. It’s common and we see plenty of it. Our goal is to return you back to work as soon as possible and as soon as you are ready!

Prior to your first session can you please email or contact our team with the following:

– GP Referral recommending Physiotherapy Services

– Workcover Number

– Case Manager Details including email and phone

– Any other relevant information e.g. scan results

If possible, please provide us with these details prior to your appointment as once we confirm all the details the insurance company can be billed directly.

 Third Party

Prior to your first session can you please email or contact our team with the following:

– GP Referral recommending Physiotherapy Services

– Insurance Number

– Case Manager Details including email and phone

– Any other relevant information e.g. scan results

If possible, please provide us with these details prior to your appointment as once we confirm all the details the insurance company can be billed directly.

 DVA

Who is eligible?

If you have a Repatriation Health Card – For All Conditions (Gold Card), the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) will fund physiotherapy services available through DVA arrangements that meet your clinical needs. For information about eligibility and use of the Gold Card, please see DVA Factsheets HSV59 and HSV60.

If you have a Repatriation Health Card – For Specific Conditions (White Card), DVA will fund physiotherapy services provided under DVA arrangements, (if they are required) because of an accepted war or service caused injury or disease. For more information about the White Card, please see DVA Factsheet HSV61.

 Do I need a referral?

A referral can be issued by

  • Local Medical Officer (LMO)
  • General Practitioner
  • Medical specialist
  • Treating doctor in hospital
  • Hospital discharge planner
  • Physiotherapist with a current referral

 All referral remain current for 12 months.
